A car key with a broken housing is not automatically unusable. The chip and blade are often intact, only the outer shell or buttons are damaged. Based on one or more photos we can often judge whether repair makes sense. That way you know what to expect upfront, and we only come over if it is worth it.
When there is serious water damage to the chip itself, a severely bent or broken blade that cannot be restored, or lost electronic components. We see that within the first 5 minutes and say so immediately, no wasted time.
